This beautiful traditional 14C Cornish farmhouse is said to have been the property of William de Gooseham, instituted as Vicar of Morwenstow in 1312. The Farmhouse sleeps up to 9 people in 4 bedrooms, is warm and inviting with a large inglenook fireplace, central heating and large farmhouse kitchen table. This property offers amazing value for a relaxing break, family gatherings or parties. The cottages near to the Farmhouse also make it easy to add on more accommodation. Although spacious the farmhouse has a cosy feel which also makes it ideal for smaller parties wishing for more space.
Our three cottages and farmhouse can cater for large parties, or individually tailored bookings for couples, families or groups of friends. The cottages are tastefully furnished, well equipped and with free WiFi, everything you will need for a relaxing stay. Couples love the smaller properties for a romantic break in the countryside, with a 10% discount offered on week long stays out of peak times. Cosy, clean, comfortable and with real fires many of our guests return year after year for the unique ambiance we offer. We also have a Games Room with pool, ping pong and table football. Pets are very welcome.
There is so much to do locally but a ride out from our stables is an opportunity not to be missed, we are surrounded by beautiful unspoilt countryside; quiet country lanes, bridleways and the ancient woodlands of Marsland Valley. Our selection of happy, well cared for horses and ponies are perfect for riders of all ages and abilities with half hour pony rides and longer hacks on offer. Everyone is welcome, our cottage guests receive a special discount. The stables are licensed and inspected annually by Cornwall Council, established in 1974.
Looking for a relaxing autumn break. We can get wonderful autumn weather here, near the coastal path on the North Cornwall/Devon border just 10 miles north of the seaside town of Bude. Plenty places to visit – Barnstaple and Bideford, Padstow and Tintagel, Hartland Abbey & Quay, Port Isaac and Poldark country. Lovely inland villages, Bodmin moor, large sandy beaches and hidden coves. Excellent dog walking. Then back to a warm fire in a cosy cottage on a working farm.
