Debbie Hamilton offers a warm welcome to visitors from all over the world to this quiet corner of Cornwall. Gooseham Barton has offered riding and accommodation in one of the most stunning locations in the south west since 1974 and is famed for the gentle horses and traditional sheep farming on the beautiful hills and valleys.
Gooseham is set in a tranquil valley on the border of Devon and Cornwall minutes from the coast. Easily accessible from the A39 but in a quiet area of lanes, farms and coastal walks it is hard to find a more relaxed environment for families, animal lovers and riders anywhere in Cornwall.
With miles of bridleways, coastal walks and the stunning nearby nature reserve of Marsland valley you will be enchanted by the wildlife and views that abound.
The riding stables and farm appreciate helpers of any age, spring time is a particularly busy time and feeding the lambs is always popular with the little ones. Pets are welcome at Gooseham, and with the quiet lanes, woods and cliff walks it is an ideal environment for dogs on holiday too.
There are several beaches within the area, whether you like wide sandy beaches with lifeguards or remote romantic hidden spots there is something for all, including some of the best surfing on the coast.
Nearby are country pubs, tearooms, and beautiful Devon and Cornish villages, all within a short drive. The larger conurbations of Bude, Holsworthy and Bideford are within half an hour.
